JCU Singapore releases Graduate Employment and Employers’ Survey Results 2024

Graduates at the Singapore campus of James Cook University (JCU Singapore) continued to achieve strong employment outcomes, according to the JCU Singapore Graduate Employment Survey and Employers’ Survey.

Conducted by Blackbox Research, the JCU Singapore Graduate Employment Survey was based on its 2023 graduates’ performance six months after their graduation.

Graduate Employment Survey Outcome 2024 Overall, 84.9% of graduates from Bachelor programs found employment in Singapore six months after graduation, an increase from 73.2% in 2022, and 68.3% in 2021. There was a 63% full-time permanent employment rate, an increase from 2022’s 57.9% and 2021’s 48.2%. The graduates reported a median monthly gross salary of S$3,500 for full-time permanent employment, an increase from S$3,200 in 2022, and S$2,830 in 2021.

Formulated in accordance with SkillsFuture Singapore’s standards, the survey was conducted from June to October 2024. It targeted 1,180 graduates with a response rate of about 20%.

JCU Singapore Employers’ Survey 2023/2024
To further complement these insights, JCU Singapore also conducts its annual Employers’ Survey, which gathers feedback from organisations that have hired its graduates. The survey, conducted from July to October 2024, offers insights into the graduates’ workplace performance. Some of the highlights of employers’ feedback include:

  • JCU Singapore graduates outperform their public university counterparts particularly in People Skills, Commitment to upgrading and Self-Development, and Adaptability.
  • JCU Singapore graduates excel over private institution counterparts, especially in People Skills, Communication, and Confidence.
