Empowering Child Well-Being in a Changing World

The landscape of raising children has shifted dramatically in recent decades. How can we plant the seeds for lifelong success such that children are not just coping, but thriving and flourishing?

We invite researchers, educators, and practitioners to share their work on how we can empower children to thrive physically, emotionally, and socially. Topics related to early interventions, mental health, play-based learning, and fostering resilience are welcome. In addition, abstracts related to the following topics are invited:

  1. Bridging Research and Practice: Explore evidence-based interventions that enhance child well-being with strategies that promote healthy development, emotional intelligence, and social skills. Topics may include mindfulness, positive discipline, and culturally responsive approaches.
  2. Resilience Builders: How can we equip children with coping skills, emotional literacy, and a sense of belonging? Topics discussing trauma-sensitive practices, coping mechanisms, and fostering a growth mindset are welcome.
  3. Promoting Equity: How can we create inclusive environments that honour diversity, promote equity, and provide equal opportunities for each child? Papers are also welcome on issues related to cultural competence and how equal access to resources contributes to breaking down barriers.
